Rooted in a history that spans decades, Zawawi Infrastructure has become a trusted name in Oman’s road construction and asphalt sector. The company’s journey—from its beginnings as Wimpey Alawi, evolving through Tarmac Alawi and Tarmac Zawawi, and later operating as Zawawi Colas LLC in partnership with the renowned Colas Group—has been marked by strategic growth and a commitment to international standards.
The alliance with Colas elevated the company’s technical expertise and introduced advanced safety and quality benchmarks that set it apart in the industry.
Today, following Colas’s exit from the region, Zawawi Infrastructure is fully owned by the Zawawi Group, a name synonymous with business excellence in Oman. The company remains true to the global standards it helped establish, but its strategy is now sharply focused on national priorities and the unique requirements of the Omani market.
With modern asphalt and emulsion production facilities in Muscat, Nizwa, Sohar, as well as a mobile plant, Zawawi Infrastructure is well-positioned to serve a diverse clientele in both the public and private sectors. The company’s project portfolio includes highways, municipal roads, industrial access routes, and more—each delivered with precision, reliability, and a strong commitment to sustainability and safety.
Over the years, Zawawi Infrastructure has delivered key projects for major clients such as Muscat Municipality, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Defence, Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), and others. The company is recognized for its quality workmanship, timely delivery, and engineering integrity.
At Zawawi Infrastructure, we don’t just produce asphalt — we pave the foundation for progress. Backed by the Zawawi Group’s vision and commitment, we continue to support Oman’s development goals by building infrastructure that connects people, industries, and possibilities.
